VGF 4 is a two-part codex, whose volumes are numbered 4I and 4II.
Volume 4I is a paper volume from the first half of the 17th cent. It has 464 folia, its leaves measuring around 380 × 260 mm. These are intermingled with smaller folia and various pieces of paper, mostly attached and unnumbered.
Volume 4II is a paper volume from the first half of the 17th cent. It has 122 folia, its leaves measuring around 310 × 215 mm.
Both volumes were written by Petrus Bertius, who edited Eusebius’s work with reference to Jerome, and added his own maps, images, and notes. It has a new dark leather cover.
