Description:
VGF 17 is a paper codex, its leaves measuring 325 × 240 mm. It contains watermarks similar to Briquet nos 501 and 4835). It is constructed of 13 quires of mostly 4 bifolia, totalling 112 folia + 1*. Some quires signatures are visible. Written space covers an area of 250 × 135 mm, spread across 30 lines (ff. 1r-63v, 89-109); 245 × 130 mm across 30 lines (ff. 64r-85v); and 250 × 130 mm across 51 lines (ff. 86v-87r). The lines are marked in hard point ruling. The codex was written by Nicolaus Turrisanus (Nicolas de la Torre). The beginning of works are decorated with rubricated initials and, on ff. 1r and 104r, with rubricated majuscule titles. Inscriptions within the works are also rubricated. It has a new dark leather cover.
