Description:
VGF 26 is a paper codex, its leaves measuring 320 × 220. It contains watermarks similar to Briquet no. 485). It is constructed from 41 quires of largely 4 bifolia, totalling 325 folia. Quires signatures by the scribe and another hand are visible in most of the earlier folia, but absent in the rest of the codex, with one exception. Catchwords by the copyist are also visible in much of the work.
The text occupies an area of 230/240 × 135 mm, spread over 28-29 lines. The majority appears to have been written by a single scribe, although here and there other hands appear. Decorations and inscriptions are rubricated at the beginning of the codex, and the ornamentation, inscriptions, and initials are deep yellow at the start of some books. It has a 17th-c. parchment cover.
