Description:
VGF 38 is a paper codex, its leaves measuring 298 × 220 mm. It is constructed of 13 quires of mostly 5 folia, totalling 122 folia + 4 unnumbered folia. The ends of quires were numbered by the scribe, and the beginnings by a later hand in Arabic numerals (some of which have been cut off). Written space covers 210 × 120 mm, spread over 24 lines. Decorations, inscriptions, and initials are rubricated. In places, scholia have been added between the lines by the copyist and a slightly later hand. It has a new dark leather cover.
