Description:
VGF 43 is a parchment codex, its leaves measuring 311 × 240. It is constructed of 13 quires of mostly 4 bifolia, totalling 116 folia. Several folia have been labelled by a number of later hands. Written space occupies an area of 240/245 × 160/165 mm. The text is arranged in two columns of 37/39 lines in hard point ruling. Inscriptions and initials are rubricated. What are now ff. 41-52 were inserted between f. 40 and f. 53: a 15/16th-c. paper codex, its leaves measuring 307 × 225 mm, with watermarks similar to Briquet no. 2598. Text is arranged in two columns of 34 lines, covering an area of 230 × 140/145 mm. Decorations, initials, and inscriptions are in dark ink. The codex has an 18th-c. paper binding.
