Description:
VGF 44 is a paper codex, its leaves measuring 305 × 210 mm. It contains watermarks similar to Briquet no. 553 but with the contremarque AC. It is constructed of 16 quires of around 3-7 bifolia, totalling 149 folia. The scribe added quire signatures and catchwords. The text covers an area of 200/210 × 100 mm, spread over 29-30 lines. The script varies, although the codex was written by a single scribe. Inscriptions and initials are rubricated, and there are rubricated decorations at the beginning. The codex has a 17th-c. parchment cover.
