Description:
VGF 50 is a parchment codex, its leaves measuring 296 × 227 mm. The codex is constructed of 16 quires of mostly 4 bifolia. Some quire signatures, presumably by the copyist, are still visible. Written space covers an area of 155 × 230 mm, spread over 2 columns of 32 lines (ff. 1r-27r), 170 × 240/245 mm over 2 columns of 33 lines in hard point ruling. One scribe wrote ff. 1r-27r, the other ff. 28r-98v. Decorations (f. 26r), initials, and inscriptions are rubricated. The codex has a 17th-c. purple parchment cover.
