Description:
VGF 56 is a paper codex, its leaves measuring 290 × 205 mm. It contains watermarks similar to Briquet nos. 6658 and 5905). It is constructed of 17 quires of mainly 5 bifolia, totalling 169 folia. Quire signatures in Greek letters were added by the scribe, and by a later hand in roman characters. Written space occupies an area of 190 × 115, over 23 lines. The codex was written by Emanuel Constantinopolitanus. Inscriptions and initials are rubricated, and here and there spaces have been left to be filled out. It has a new dark leather cover.
