Description:
VGF 59 is a paper codex, its leaves measuring 282 × 205 mm. It contains numerous different watermarks. It is constructed of 6 quires of 5 bifolia and 34 quires of 4 bifolia, totalling 332 folia (f. 1 is now missing). Quire signatures are visible throughout. Written space occupies an area of 180 × 125 mm, over 25 lines in hard point ruling. The codex was written by two scribes, one ff. 3r-61v, the other ff. 62r-333v. Decorations, initials, and inscriptions are rubricated. It has a new dark leather cover, with gilt-edged pages.
