Description:
VGF 67 is a paper codex, its leaves measuring ca.280 × 210 mm. It contains 312 folia. The codex is a miscellaneous convolute of six manuscripts written by a number of different hands. There are marginal notes and annotations throughout, and most of the quires have been signed with letters, often on more than one occasion. The codex has a 17th-c. parchment cover.
Part 1 (ff. 2r-9r) is constructed of a single quire of 4 bifolia. It contains watermarks similar to Briquet no. 11428. Written space covers an area of 180 × 120 mm over 24 lines. Catchwords are visible on f. 9. It was written Constantinus Palaeocappa.
Part 2 (ff. 10-33) is composed of a single quire of 7 bifolia. It contains watermarks similar to Briquet 9638. Written space occupies an area of 215/225 × 105 mm over 25-31 lines. There are a handful of corrections and marginal notes by Constantinus Palaeocappa and another hand.
Part 3 (ff. 24r-39r) is constructed of 2 quires of 4 bifolia. It contains watermarks similar to Briquet no. 11428 and a Vase (?) watermark. Written space covers an ara of 250/275 × 150/165 mm, spread over 42-47 lines (ff. 24r-31v) and 250 × 150 mm over 40-46 lines (ff. 32r-39v). There are a handful of marginal emendations by the scribe.
Part 4 (ff. 40r-61r) is constructed of 2 quires of 4 bifolia and 1 quire of 3 bifolia. It contains watermarks similar to Briquet 2864. The text covers an area of 240/250 × 130/140 mm over 33-36 lines.
Part 5 (ff. 62r-169v) is constructed of 14 quires of mostly 4 bifolia + 2 folia. The text covers an area of 210 × 120 mm over 30-39 lines. There are a handful of notes in the margins.
Part 6 (ff. 170-313) is constructed from 17 quires of mostly 4 folia + 2 folia. The text covers an area of 235/240 × 130/140 mm over 26-38 mm.
