Description:
VGF 72 is a paper codex, its leaves measuring 278 × 210 mm. Most of its watermarks are similar to Briquet no. 15803, and it also contains watermarks similar to Briquet nos. 3173, 2732, 9911, and 3967. It is constructed from 18 quires of mostly 4 bifolia, totalling 138 folia. Quire signatures are visible. Written space occupies an area of 205/220 × 145/150 mm, over 35 lines, with numerous exceptions. The codex was written by two scribes, one writing ff. 1r-14 and 16r-29v, the other ff. 15r-15v and 30r-137v. Initials, titles, and marginal lemmata are rubricated. There are a handful of notes and emendations by A. Petavius and various 16th-17th-c. hands. It has a 17th-c. parchment cover.
