Description:
VGQ 1 is a silk codex, its leaves measure around 260 × 165 mm. It is now divided into two volumes: I: ff. 1r-120r; II: f. 121r-239r. It is constructed of 30 quires of mostly 4 bifolia. Quires have been signed by the scribe in red letters, beginning with ε, suggestion the first four quires are missing. The codex was foliated 33-271 by a 17th-c. hand. Written space covers an area of around 185/205 × 125/135 mm, while the number of lines varies greatly. Inscriptions and initials are rubricated. It has a new dark leather cover, with stamped decorations.
