Description:
VGQ 2 is a paper codex, its leaves measuring 259 × 190/195 mm. Today, it is divided into two volumes, numbered Q 2i and Q2ii. It contains watermarks similar to Briquet no. 11419. Volume I is constructed of 34 quires of 4 bifolia, totalling 270 folia. Red quires signatures are visible in places. Volume II is constructed of 38 quires of mostly 4 bifolia, totalling 293 folia (numbered 270-562). Quire signatures are visible throughout. Both volumes contain catchwords. Written space covers an area of 185 × 100 mm, over 30 lines (ff. 1r-38r) and 190 × 100 over 21 lines (ff. 41r-269r, 270r-560r). Two scribes wrote the volume: the first ff. 1r-38r, the second, Georgius Hermonymus, the rest. G. Budaeus added marginal notes throughout both volumes. Titles are rubricated. Initials were rubricated in the section written by the first scribe, while spaces were left for them from f. 41r. It has a 17th-c. parchment cover.
