Description:
VGQ 3 is a silk codex, its leaves measuring 255 × 170 mm. Four earlier leaves have been lost and replaced with paper folia (ff. 1-8), which measure 255 × 160 mm and contain watermarks similar to Briquet 3682. The codex is constructed from 34 quires of mostly 4 bifolia, totalling 275 folia. Quire signatures are visible. ff. 259r-269r should be read in the order: ff. 259v, 267v-267r, 261r-266v, 260v-260r, 268v-268r, 269r. Written space covers an area of 110/140 × 85 mm over 13-27 lines (ff. 1-8) and 215/220 × 115 mm over 30 lines in hard point ruling. Inscriptions, decorations, and initials are rubricated. There are scholia and interlineal comments throughout. The codex has a new dark leather cover.
