Description:
VGQ 6 is a silk codex, its leaves measuring 255 × 175 mm. It is constructed from 5 quires of around 4 bifolia + 5 folia, totalling 42 folia. Quire signatures appear at the beginning and end of quires. The codex is damaged and water stained, especially at the beginning and end. Written space covers an area of ca.240 × 165 mm. Individual pages have 2, 3, or 4 columns. Pen trials, notes, interlineal comments and marginal scholia by a variety of hands appear throughout the codex. The writing is very small, particularly for scholia. Inscriptions, subscriptions, and decorations are rubricated. Coloured initials appear on f. 15r. It has an 18th-c. paper binding.
