Description:
VGQ 8 is a parchment codex, its leaves measuring 245 × 225 mm. It is constructed of 20 quires of mostly 4 bifolia. Quire signatures are visible in places. Many leaves are clearly missing, some of which can be found in Paris. gr. 17 (22 folia) and ms. gr. III Bibl. Publ. Petropolitanae (1 folium). Written space covers an area of 165 × 170 mm in 2 columns of 27-29 lines in hard point ruling. The codex was written in uncial, apparently by two scribes: the first writing ff.1r-32v, 78r-104v, the other 33r-77v and 105r-130v. The text was corrected by the scribe and other hands. Critical signs are used. The codex has a new dark leather cover with stamped decorations.
