Description:
VGQ 13 is a paper codex, its leaves measuring 245 × 170 mm. It is a convolute of five parts. It has a new paper cover.
Part 1 (ff. 2r-15r) is constructed of 2 quires of around 4 bifolia. Quire signatures are visible. Written space occupies an area of 165 × 105/110 mm, over 21 lines in hard point ruling. The decorations, title, and initials are rubricated on f. 2, while initials are rubricated in the text.
Part 2 (ff. 16r-41r) is constructed of 4 quires of mostly 4 bifolia. It contains watermarks similar to Briquet no. 513. Written space covers an area of 145 × 105 mm, over 20 lines in hard point ruling. Decorations, initials, and titles are executed in dark ink.
Part 3 (ff. 42r-48r) is constructed from a single quire. It contains watermarks similar to Briquet no. 12164. Written space covers an area of 165 × 110 over 24 lines in hard point ruling. Decorations and initials are in red.
Part 4 (ff. 49r-50r, 56r-57r) contains watermarks similar to Briquet no. 6301. Written space covers an area of 150 × 105 mm, over 21 lines in hard point ruling. The title and initials are red.
Part 5 (ff. 51r-55r) contains watermarks similar to Briquet no. 513. It is constructed from a quire of 2 bifolia and a single folium. Written space covers an area of 160 × 85 mm over 24 lines in hard point ruling. It was written by Valerianus Albinus. The title and initials are in red.
