VGQ 30 is a paper convolute of eight parts. It has a new dark leather cover.
Part 1 (ff. 1-38) is constructed of 5 quires of mostly 4 bifolia. Its leaves measure ca.235 × 175 mm. Catchwords are visible. Written space covers an area of 190 × 130 mm over 24 lines. It dates to the 17th c.
Part 2 (ff. 39-56) is constructed from a single quire of 9 bifolia. Its leaves measure ca.225 × 175 mm. Text covers an area of ca.170/185 × 125 mm over 22-24 lines. It was written by Henricus Stephanus in 1586.
Part 3 (ff. 57-163) is in Latin. It is formed from quires of various lengths, forms, and dates (between around 220/195 × 175/150 mm) put together by Melchior Goldast in the 17th c. Other hands appear on ff. 110r-111v and 143v.
Part 4 (ff. 164r-175r) is in Latin, and may date to 1514. It contains watermarks similar to Briquet no. 15375. Its leaves measure 220 × 165 mm. It is constructed from a single quire of 6 bifolia. Written space covers an area of around 175 × 115/120 mm over ca.30 lines. It is written in a cursive script.
