Description:
VGQ 41 is a paper convolute constructed from two parts. It contains 108 folia. The convolute is bound with a 17th-c. parchment cover after the fashion of P. Petavius.
Part 1 (ff. 1r-90r) is constructed of leaves measuring 212 × 155 mm. It contains watermarks similar to Briquet nos. 477-496 and 530-532. It is composed of 9 quires of mostly 5 bifolia. A handful of quire signatures and catchwords are visible. Ff. 71-80 should be read in this order: ff. 75r-80v, 71r-74v. Written space covers an area of 170 × 110 mm over 40 lines in hard point ruling. Titles and initials are rubricated. From f. 35r space has been left for initials. F. 36r contains marginal decorations.
Part 2 (ff. 91r-108r) is constructed of leaves measuring 212 × 140 mm. It contains watermarks similar to Briquet no. 11656. It is composed of 2 quires of 4 bifolia + 2 folia. Written space occupies an area of 155 × 85 mm over 23 lines in hard point ruling. Titles and marginal decorations are rubricated (f. 91r), as are initials.
