Description:
VGQ 54 is a paper convolute of various manuscripts, its leaves measuring ca.210 × 140 mm. It contains a wide variety of watermarks. It is constructed of 58 quires of mostly 4 bifolia + 7 folia, totalling 463 folia. Several quires have been numbered by the scribe and later hands. Text covers an area of 150/165 × 90/105 mm over 20-38 lines. The convolute was written by a variety of hands. Marginal decoration in red or black ink appears in places, while many initials and a handful of inscriptions are rubricated. The convolute has a new dark leather cover.
