Description:
VGQ 55 is a a paper codex, its leaves measuring 207 × 145 mm. It contains watermarks similar to Briquet nos. 2452, 2509, and 2535. It is constructed of 14 quires of mostly 4 bifolia, totalling 109 folia. Quire signatures are visible throughout most of the volume, add by the copyist and a later hand. Text covers an area of 155 × 90 mm, over 24 lines (ff. 1r-77r), 150 × 85mm over 22 lines (ff. 81r-93r), 150/155 × 90 mm over 25 (ff. 97r-104v) and 24 lines (ff. 105r-107v). Lines are marked in hard point ruling. Three scribes worked on the codex. Initials and titles are rubricated, with spaces left for these in ff. 97r-107r. The codex has a new dark leather cover.
