Description:
VGQ 59 is a paper codex, its leaves measuring 210 × 150 mm. It contains various watermarks, similar to Briquet nos. 716, 747, 746, 4899, 2538, 587. It is constructed of 17 quires of 4-6 bifolia + 2 folia, totalling 179 folia. Catchwords appear in places, and a quire signature is visible on f. 98r. Text covers an area of 150/160 × 90 mm over 27-29 lines (ff. 77r-78r); 150 × 90 mm over 23-24 lines (ff. 80r-87r); 165 × 100 mm over 27 lines (ff. 91r-99r); 155 × 90 over 27 lines (ff. 110-131); 150/155 × 95 mm over 18-20 lines (ff. 135r-177r). Lines are marked in hard point ruling. The codex was written by a single scribe, except for ff. 91r-99v. Inscriptions and initials are rubricated. The codex has a new paper cover.
