Description:
VMI 1 is convolute in a new paper cover. It was written by a variety of hands and constructed from 21 quires of various forms. Quires I-IV are in a single convolute.
Quire I contains 8 folia, with vase watermarks, similar to Briquet 12645. Its leaves measure 372 × 285 mm. It is written in Latin, with text covering an area of 280 × 170 mm over 30-31 lines.
Quire II contains 6 paper folia. It is written in Latin. It contains watermarks similar to Briquet no. 5507. Its leaves measure 365 × 230 mm, with text covering an area of 285 × 170/175 mm over 33-35 lines.
Quire III contains 2 paper folia. Its leaves measure 370 × 230 mm. It is written in Greek and Latin, with text covering an area of 330 × 210/220 mm over 61-68 lines in 2 columns. Most the Greek text was written by a single hand.
Quire IV contains 7 paper folia. It contains watermarks similar to Briquet no. 6301. Its leaves measure 350 × 235 mm, with text covering an area of 240 × 140 mm over 30 lines. Inscriptions and initials are rubricated.
Quire V contains 13 paper folia, although most of f. 13 is missing. It contains watermarks similar to Briquet no. 4433. It is written in Latin and Greek. It leaves measure 345 × 230 mm.
Quire VI contains 6 paper folia. It contains watermarks similar to Briquet no. 5304. Its leaves measure 345 × 225 mm. It was written in Latin by Petrus Daniel (?).
Quire VII contain 2 paper folia. Its leaves measure 340 × 225 mm. It is written in Latin and contains watermarks similar to Briquet 5304.
Quire VIII contains a paper single folio, measuring 275 × 195 mm. It is written in Latin.
Quire IX contains a single paper folio, measuring 315 × 190 mm. It contains a soleil watermark.
Quire X is formed of three appended sheets of paper: one of 95 × 235 mm, the others of 100 × 235 mm. It contains lettres assemblées watermarks. It was written by a single hand.
Quire XI. Is formed of a quire of 5 bifolia, totalling 10 paper paper folia. It is written in Latin. It contains trois monts surmontés d’une tige à double trait, portant une croix blanche, avec une sorte de serpent s’enroulant autour de la tige watermarks, and a watermark similar to Briquet no. 14873 on f. 10r. It is written in Latin. Text covers an area of 220 × 100 mm over 24 lines in hard point ruling. Initials are rubricated at the beginning.
Quire XII contains 87 paper folia. It is written in Latin and Greek. Its leaves measure ca.370 × 235 mm.
Quire XIII contains 8 paper folia. Its leaves measure 365 × 235 mm. It was written by two scribes.
Quire XIV contains 4 paper folia. It is written in Latin. The leaves measure 345 × 230 mm.
Quire XV contains 2 paper folia. Its leaves measure 360 × 220 mm.
Quire XVI contains 2 paper folia. Its leaves measure 340 × 200 mm. It was written in Latin by M. Goldastus, who numbered the folia 78 and 79.
Quire XVII contains 2 paper folia. It contains aigle watermarks. Its leaves measure 320 × 210 mm.
Quire XVIII contains 32 folia in various arrangements. It was written in Greek and Latin by various hands, including Henricus Stephanus.

Quire XIX contains 7 paper folia. It contains lettres assemblées watermarks. Its leaves measure 280 × 185 mm. It was written by H. Stephanus.
Quire XX contains 6 paper folia. It leaves measure 300 × 200 mm. It contains main watermarks.
Quire XXI contains 1 paper folio. It measures 285 × 185 mm. The it has what may be a letter ‘A’ as a watermark.
