VMI 5 is a paper convolute of 5 parts, containing 70 folia. It has a new paper cover.
Part I (ff. 2-19) contains watermarks similar to Briquet nos. 11421-432. Its leaves measure ca.290 × 200 mm. Text covers an area of ca.250/260 × 165 mm, over 28-36 lines.
Part II (ff. 20-35) contains watermarks similar to Briquet no. 7657. Its leaves measure ca.288 × 210. It is constructed of 2 quires + 1 folia. Quire signatures were added by a later hand. The codex was foliated and paginated by a 17th-c. hand. The right-hand margins have been damaged. Text covers an area of 230/260 × 165/170 mm over 43-52 mm. Initials are rubricated up to f. 22r.
Part III (ff. 36-51) contains watermarks similar to Briquet nos. 5110, 6331, 12471. Its leave measure ca.295 × 205 mm. It is constructed of 2 quires + 1 folio. Quire signatures were added by the scribe and a later hand. Text covers an area of 220 × 150 mm over 2 columns of 1 lines. The decorations and title at the beginning are rubricated, as are initials.
Part IV (ff. 52-56) is constructed of leaves measuring ca.280 × 220 mm. Folia were numbered 1-5 by a 17th-c. hand. The margins are damaged. Text covers an area of 210 × 160/165 mm over 30-34 lines.
Part V (ff. 57-70) contains leaves measuring ca.275 × 210 mm. It was written by Lucas Holsteinius.
