Description:
VLF 29 is a 12th-c. vellum codex, its leaves measuring 327 x 230 mm. It is constructed of 39 quires of 4 bifolia, totalling 310 leaves (620 pages). Quire signatures are added in Roman numerals in the lower margins. Written space covers 250/270 x 170 mm, divided into 2 columns of 38-40 lines ruled in dark ink. The text is written in a single hand (excepting maybe ff. 16-29) in Littera prae-gothica textualis. Minor initials in red start off each new work or letter. Inscriptions are also rubricated. The codex has a 17th-c. cardboard binding, protected by parchment and leather straps.
