Description:
VLF 32 is a late 14th-c. parchment codex, its leaves measuring 325 x 250 mm. It is constructed of 13 quires of 6 bifolia, totalling 156 leaves (312 pages). Catchwords are still visible. Quire signatures appear in the bottom right corner in another hand. Written space covers 205/220 x 145/150 mm, divided into 2 columns of 36/44 lines ruled in dark ink. The text is written by 4 scribes in Littera gothica textualis. Apart from a few major initials in red and blue, each new chapter also starts off with minor initials in red or blue. Paragraph marks are in the same colours; inscriptions are rubricated. Many initials are decorated. The codex has a 17th-c. cardboard binding, protected by sheepskin, typical for codices from the library of Melchisédech Thévenot.
