Description:
VLF 43 is a parchment codex from the second half of the 13th c., its leaves measuring 320 x 225 mm. It is constructed of 17 quires of irregular composition and a few additional folia, totalling 123 leaves (246 pages). The scribe added catchwords. Written space covers mainly 190/200 x 135 mm, divided into 3 columns of 41-42 lines ruled in dark ink. The text is written in Littera textualis (formata for the biblical part). Minor initials are in red or blue, as are paragraph marks. The codex has a 18th-c. cardboard binding protected by multi-coloured paper and a parchment spine.
