Description:
VLF 53 is a paper codex from the first half of the 16th c., its leaves measuring 315 x 210 mm. Its watermark is similar to Briquet no. 9494. It is constructed of 9 quires of mostly 6 bifolia, totalling 100 leaves (200 pages). Quire signatures are still visible. Fol. 1 is damaged in the bottom right corner. Written space covers 240/250 x 120/125 mm (23-29 lines). The text is written in Littera cursiva. Inscriptions are rubricated (but the colour has faded). The codex has an 18th-c. cardboard binding protected by multi-coloured paper and a parchment spine.
