Description:
VLF 63 is a 10th-c. parchment codex, its leaves measuring 303 x 195 mm. It is constructed of 19 quires of mostly 4 bifolia, totalling 129 leaves (258 pages). Quire signatures are in Roman numerals. Written space covers c. 215/220 x 100 mm (32 lines in hard point ruling). The text is written by several scribes in Littera carolina. Many corrections and comments have been added. Fol. 1r contains a lavishly decorated initial. Each new books start off with minor, rubricated initials. Inscriptions are also painted red. It has a 19th-c. cardboard cover with dark leather protection.
