Description:
VLF 66 is a paper codex from the second half of the 14th c., its leaves measuring 290 x 225 mm. It is constructed of 9 quires of mostly 8 bifolia, totalling 139 leaves (278 pages). It contains watermarks similar to Briquet nos 7376 (ff. 1-5), 3810 (ff. 6-55), 4546 (ff. 56-103, 120-139), 10493 (ff. 104-119). Catchwords and foliation are still visible. Written space covers (ff. 1-31) 235/205 x 155 mm (38-30 lines); (ff. 33-137) 190/210 x 155/165 mm (27-43 lines). The text was written by 2 scribes, one writing in Littera gothica cursiva, the other being Peter of Compostella, who wrote in Litterae hybrida currens. Initials, inscriptions, and paragraph signs are rubricated. The codex has a 17th-c. paper binding.
