Description:
VLF 69 is a vellum codex from the second half of the 12th c., its leaves measuring 304 x 200 mm. It is constructed of 13 quires of mostly 4 bifolia, totalling 102 leaves (204 pages). Some quire signatures (added by the scribe) are still visible. Parchment bookmarks are at ff. 17, 28, and 32. Written space covers 230 x 135 mm, divided into 2 columns of 53-54 lines. The text was written in Littera prae-gothica textualis. Each work and separate book starts off with major initials in red and blue. Minor initials within the text are red or blue. Inscriptions are rubricated. Some initials and inscriptions have not been filled out. The codex has an 18th-c. cardboard binding protected by multi-coloured paper and a parchment spine.
