Description:
VLF 75 is a parchment convolute of 2 manuscripts whose 100 leaves measure 295 x 200 mm. The codex has a 16th-c. parchment binding.
Part 1 (ff. 1-50) dates from the middle of the 15th c. and is constructed of 3 quires of 6 bifolia, and 1 quire of 7 bifolia, totalling 50 leaves (100 pages). Several quire signatures have been cut off. Written space covers 225 x 135 mm (43 lines ruled in dark ink). The text was written in Littera cursiva libraria anglica. Initials and paragraph signs are rubricated.
Part 2 (ff. 51-100) is written in Norman French. It dates from the first half of the 15th c. and is constructed of 7 quires of mostly 4 bifolia, totalling 50 leaves (100 pages). Catchwords were added by the scribe; another hand added quire signatures. Written space covers 255/260 x 155 mm (51 lines ruled in dark ink). The text was written in Littera cursiva. Initials and paragraph signs are rubricated. Many letters within the text are also in red.
