Description:
VLF 94 is a parchment convolute, its 16 leaves measuring 281 x 200 mm. The codex has a French, 18th-c. cardboard binding with a dark leather protection that contains gilded ornaments. The binding was repaired in 1966.
Part 1 (ff. 1-7) dates from the first half of the 9th c. It comprises 1 quire of 4 bifolia minus 1 leaf. Written space covers 205/220 x c. 150 mm (23-25 lines in hard point ruling). The text is written in Minuscula carolina. Inscriptions are rubricated. There are leaves missing.
Part 2 (ff. 8-16) also dates from the 9th c. It comprises 1 quire of 4 bifolia plus 1 leaf. Written space covers 230 x 150/160 mm (24-31 lines in hard point ruling). The text was written by a single scribe in Minuscula carolina. It contains tironian notes. Initials and inscriptions are in dark ink. Some leaves are missing.
