Description:
VLF 97 is a paper codex dating from 1456. Its leaves measure 287 x 195 mm. The codex is constructed of 6 quires of 5 bifolia, totalling 1* + 59 leaves (118 pages). Catchwords are remnant, as well as foliation in Roman (rubricated) numerals. Written space covers 210 x 130 mm (35 lines in hard point ruling). The text was written by Petrus Delphinus (according to a note on f. 56r) in Littera humanistica cursiva. Each new book, and some chapters, start off with large, decorated and painted letters. Inscription and minor initials at the start of some other chapters are in red or green. The codex has an 18th-c. cardboard binding protected by multi-coloured paper and a parchment spine.
