Description:
VLF 104 is a parchment codex from the first half of the 12th c., its leaves measuring 275 x 200 mm. It is constructed of 25 quires of mostly 4 bifolia, totalling 206 leaves (412 pages). Written space covers 225/235 x 130/145 mm (33-37 lines in hard point ruling). The text was written by two scribes in Minuscula sub-carolina. Initials, both major and minor, are decorated and painted in different colours. Initials within the text are rubricated, as are inscriptions. The codex has a 17th-c. cardboard binding with parchment protection, made for Paul Pétau (who added the titles of each work on the spine).
