Description:
VLF 107 is a parchment codex from the second half of the 10th c., its leaves measuring 278 x 182 mm. It is constructed of 14 quires of 4 bifolia (plus 1 folio), totalling 112 leaves (224 pages). Quire signatures in Roman numerals are still visible. Written space covers 200/215 x 140/120 mm (33 lines in hard point ruling). Except for a few lines on ff. 54r-v, 107v-109r, and some corrections made throughout the text, this manuscript was the work of a single scribe who wrote in Minuscula carolina. Initials and inscriptions are in dark ink. There is a decorated major initial on f. 11r. The codex has a 15th-/16th-c. (German-made) binding with red leather parts.
