Description:
VLF 113 is a parchment convolute, its leaves measuring 271 x 229 mm. It has a 17th-c. cardboard binding with parchment protection (its leather straps are now lost). Fol. Iv contains an index.
Part 1 (ff. 1-70) dates from the middle of the 9th c. It comprises 9 quires of mostly 4 bifolia. The latter still contain quire signatures. Three bookmarks remain on ff. 46, 60, and 71. Written space covers 185/190 x 132 mm (38 lines in hard point ruling). The text was mostly written by a single scribe in Minuscula carolina (Tours type). Initials and inscriptions are rubricated.
Part 2 (ff. 71-90) also dates from the middle of the 9th c. It comprises 2 quires of 4 bifolia, and 1 quire of 2 bifolia. Written space covers 210 x 152 mm (36 lines in hard point ruling). The text was written by 1 or more scribes in Minuscula carolina (also the Tours type).
