Description:
VLF 114 is a parchment codex from the end of the 9th / beginning of the 10th c., its leaves measuring 273 x 240 mm. It is constructed of 30 quires of mostly 4 bifolia, totalling 196 leaves (392 pages). Several quire signatures in Roman numerals are still visible. Written space covers 225 x 180 mm (40 lines in hard point ruling). The text was written by several scribes in Minuscula carolina. Initials and inscriptions are rubricated. The codex has a 17th-c. cardboard cover with parchment protection, possibly made for Alexandre Pétau (who likely added an index on the spine).
