Description:
VLO 56 is a parchment codex from the first half of the 12th c., its 176 leaves measuring 195 x 127 mm. Written space covers 160 x 95 mm (30 lines in hard point ruling). The text was mostly written by one scribe in Littera textualis. Initials are in dark or red ink. Inscriptions are rubricated; some are not filled out. The codex has a 19th-c. cardboard binding with black leather protection on which the emblem of the University of Leiden is stamped.
