Description:
VLO 69 is a parchment convolute, its 123 leaves measuring 185 x 135 mm. The codex has a parchment binding from the second half of the 16th c., made for Paul Pétau.
Part 1 (1-81) dates from the first half of the 9th c. The first quire is missing, while the first few leaves are damaged. Written space covers 140/155 x 95/105 mm (23-25 lines in hard point ruling). The text was written by 6 scribes in Minuscula carolina. At the start of a new chapter are red initials. Some numbers and letters within the text are highlighted in green or yellow. Inscriptions are rubricated or in dark ink.
Part 2 (82-89) dates from the first half of the 13th c. Written space covers 135 x 95 mm, divided into 2 columns (34 lines in dark ink). The text is written in Littera gothica textualis. Initials and inscriptions are rubricated.
Part 3 (90-123) dates from the second half of the 14th c. Written space covers 160/175 x 80 mm, divided into 2 columns (46 lines). The text is written by 2 scribes. Initials are rubricated.
