Description:
VLO 87 is a parchment convolute, its 151 leaves measuring 153 x 110 mm. The codex has a 17th-c. cardboard binding with parchment protection. Two leather straps used to be attached to the binding, but are now lost.
Part 1 (1-114) dates from the 13th c. Its written space covers 120/125 x 95 mm (27-30 lines in dark ink). The text was mostly written by a single scribe. Initials are red, green, or blue. Inscriptions are rubricated.
Part 2 (115-139) dates from the 11th c. Folia 136-139 are damaged. Written space covers 120/125 x 75/80 mm (28 lines in hard point ruling). The text is written by 2 scribes in Minuscula carolina.
Part 3 (140-151) dates from the 13th c. Written space covers 120/125 x 90 mm (37-41 lines in dark ink). The text is written by 2 scribes in Littera gothica. Initials and inscriptions are rubricated.
