Description:
VLO 88 is a parchment convolute, its 111 leaves measuring 150 x 115 mm. The codex has a 19th-c. cardboard binding with multi-coloured paper protection. Its corners and spine are in parchment.
Part 1 (2-47) dates from the second half of the 9th c. Written space covers 110/115 x 90 mm (23 lines in hard point ruling). The text was written by 4 scribes in Minuscula carolina. Initials are rubricated on ff. 11-18.
Part 2 (48-95) dates from the 10th c. Written space covers 100/110 x 75 mm (18-23 lines in hard point ruling). The text is written by 3 scribes in Minuscula carolina.
Part 3 (96-103) dates from the 13th c. Written space covers 105 x 75 mm (26 lines in dark ink). The text is written in Littera textualis.
Part 4 (104-111) dates from the 12th c. Written space covers 150 x 75 mm (23 lines in dark ink). The text is written in Littera prae-gothica.
