Description:
VLQ 15 is a parchment convolute containing 57 leaves. The codex has a 16th/17th-c. cardboard binding with parchment protection. Two leather straps that used to be part of the binding are no longer there.
Part 1 (1-13) dates from the beginning of the 9th c., its leaves measuring 273 x 190 mm. Written space covers 205 x 140 mm, divided into 2 columns (32 lines in hard point ruling). The text is written in Minuscula carolina. Initials are in dark ink.
Part 2 (14-15) dates from the 10th/11th c., its leaves measuring 270 x 185 mm. Written space covers 225 x 165 mm (38 lines in hard point ruling). The text is written in Minuscula carolina. Initials and inscriptions are in Uncial script (dark ink).
Part 3 (16-53) dates from the 10th/11th c., its leaves measuring 273 x 195/200 mm. Written space covers 210/255 x 150/170 mm (38-41 lines). The text is written in Minuscula carolina. Initials are in dark ink, some of which have red ornation.
Part 4 (56-57) dates from the 11th c., its leaves measuring 270/265 x 195/180 mm. The text is written by 3 scribes. Written space covers 220/5 x 135/165 mm.
