Description:
VLQ 16 is a parchment codex, partly from the 10th c., partly from the 11th c., its 136 leaves measuring 270 x 180 mm. Written space varies. The text is written by several scribes in Minuscula carolina. A few books start off with decorated and coloured initials. The initials at the start of a new verse are in red or dark ink. Inscriptions are rubricated. The codex has a 19th-c. cardboard binding with dark leather protection on which the emblem of the Leiden University is stamped.
