Description:
VLQ 20 is a parchment convolute, its 144 leaves measuring 265 x 225 mm. The codex has a 17th-c. cardboard binding with parchment protection (its spine was repaired in 1946).
Part 1 (1-8) dates from the 10th c. Written space covers 205 x 160 mm, divided into 2 columns (26-26 lines in hard point ruling). The text was mostly written by a single scribe in Minuscula carolina Turonensis.
Part 2 (9-144) dates from the first half of the 9th c. Folio 28 is almost completely lost; folia 142 and 144 are badly damaged. Written space covers 210/215 x 150 mm (32-33 lines in hard point ruling). The text was written by 3 scribes in Minuscula carolina Turonensis. Initials and inscriptions are rubricated.
