Description:
VLQ 23 is a parchment codex from the second half of the 11th c., its 89 leaves measuring 280 x 185 mm. Written space covers 190/195 x 115/120 mm (32 lines in hard point ruling). The text was written by 3 scribes in Littera prae-gothica textualis. There are signs that the manuscript was used in a Cistercian monastery. Major initials are lavishly decorated in several colours. Inscriptions are rubricated. The codex has an 18th-c. cardboard binding with multi-coloured paper protection; its spine is in parchment.
