Description:
VLQ 27 is a parchment codex from the second half of the 15th c., its 180 leaves measuring 255 x 175 mm. Written space covers 170 x 110 mm (32 lines in dark ink). The text is written by two scribes in Littera humanistica textualis Italiana. Fol. 1r contains a lavishly decorated major initial and multi-coloured marginal decorations. Minor initials at the start of each book are also in different colours, whereas each new epistula receives minor initials in red or blue. Inscriptions are rubricated, but from f. 121v onwards, many are not filled out. The codex has an 18th-c. cardboard binding with dark leather protection.
