Enclosing a draft from Dartmouth to Howe (dated 5 Sept) regarding the large corps of auxillaries and the state of Boston, and an extract from Dartmouth to Gage (2 Aug) concerning Admiral Graves's apprehensions about the safety of Halifax [Nova Scotia] which holds a considerable supply of trade goods, intended to be given to the Indians (as presents) by the commanders of Boston and Quebec.
