Full Description:
Prisoners. Narrative of W. Home, Royal Fusiliers, of his treatment when a prisoner. Not dated but found with other papers about this date. Upon being given the choice to reside in Reading (Pennsylvania). Home and other prisoners gave their parole. After ten months he and others were removed to Lebanon, due to freqently being insulted, even though there was knowledge of there being no accommodation in the new area. The Committee of that place wrote to Congress asking for them to be removed. On awareness of the situation regarding insults an apology was made, but that that the person in charge wouldn't interfere 'lest' he would be treated in the same manner. Home and others were given the option to remove to another place; not Reading or Lancaster.
