Full Description:
Barrington to Howe. War Office. Regarding stoppages made to men in hospital. Barrington mentions that in the late war [Seven Years War] they made stoppages of five pence per day. However, a deduction of two and half pence is made for provisions in North America per day. Therefore there is a reduction, with His Majesty's pleasure, to four pence per day.
